New Style T5 Racing Kart Seat Standard Rigidity

The T5 shape in Ccd, CL and XScd sizes is the seat shape most often used by the Minikart/Cadet drivers in the age group 8 to 12. The T5 has a small flat but is deliberately not made with the T11 angle as the small children need a more upright body position for greater strength and control.

The moulding technique that makes the New Style seats has allowed us to make the seat with a smooth front and back surface, and a consistent laminate thickness but unlike the T8 process we also now have the ability to tune the rigidity. The "New style" T5 benefits from a specially developed high strength resin and contains a much higher fibre content that makes it more robust during drilling and impacts with the track.

The rigidities available in the new style T5 are the ones mostly used in today's karts. The super flexible VTi often used in the Minikarts, the flexible T5VG used in Rotax Max. Also, we have the mid range rigidity, the T5t which is very popular for the X30, OKJ classes. This "t" stiffness sits between the flexible VG and Standard T5 which is also available made by the new process.

New for 2019 is a neon colour range. The T5 new style seats can be ordered in Yellow, Orange, Pink and Green. All bright vivid colours not seen before on a kart seat.

Handmade T5 seats are available for other size requirements.

B6 XL Carbon/GRP Race Car Seat

The standard B6 is also available in an XL size which is 30 mm wider. Unlike the new B6 XL Screamer, the lighter B6 XL is not an FIA homologated model, but it is still ultra-rigid. An externally narrower version is available named the B6-43 XL, with the edges specially cut to reduce the outer width and allow a larger 100 kg + driver to sit in a ultra-narrow car. When the outer edge is left on with the B6-47 XL, it creates a continuous rolled edge around the whole perimeter of the seat.

B6 XL GRP Black GRP Race Car Seat

The B6 is a narrow seat suited to many kit and track day cars. Its driving angle is based on our popular Caterham R500 seat but it has some important differences. The headrest has been moved back to prevent the drivers head from being pushed forward when using a crash helmet and the shoulder belt holes have been designed to allow the use of a Hans device.
