Enclosed chainguards are mandatory throughout UK karting and also in CIK classes.
New TAG Nylon ChainguardThis tough Nylon chain guard is suitable, for the Rotax Max and new KF engines. The plastic TAG guard is available in black or red and has a long bracket kit as standard, which keeps the guard more rigidly located and helps move the fixings above the exhaust of the Max, making access easier. The guards are smooth inside and out to help cleaning and have no unnecessary holes which trap oil and dirt.
The guards are wide enough to allow the use of sprocket protectors.
Each guard includes a universal bracket set, which make it easier to work on the kart as complete removal is simple and takes seconds.
Adjustable mid point to allows the sprocket to run centrally in the guard. It is also easy to cut and modify to fit most engine / kart combinations
Composite ChainguardThe composite guards are sturdy and rigid and do not wobble due to the honeycomb core on the mounting side.
Available to fit RHD, LHD, KF engines and a new longer version for Rotax Max. The guards are wide enough to allow the use of sprocket protectors. Carbon Kevlar® ChainguardThe Carbon Kevlar® Tillett chainguard is the lightest on the market at 170 gm in a RHD/Rotax version and is 138 gm when cut for the KF classes. Unlike many products that cosmetically use carbon look materials, the lightweight Tillett guard uses genuine carbon and is Kevlar® brand fibre lined for ballistic protection against a thrown chain. It also has two smooth sides making it easy to clean.
Each guard includes a universal bracket set, which make it easier to work on the kart as complete removal is simple and takes seconds.

Honda GX160 Chain Guard The Tillett Honda guard mounts solidly to the engine and is wide enough to allow sprocket protectors.
The guard is made from lightweight composite and weighs only 324 grams including the bracket system. It is solidly fixed and simply removed with two 6 mm nuts.
