The Tillett B1 Lightweight Race Car Seat.
Ideal for sports, racing or kit cars.

The B1 Blackhawk seat weighs only 2.75 kg and is made from Carbon fibre or Carbon/Glass.

This seat is designed with a saloon car seating angle which is a little more upright than our other models. The shape of the B1 is such that padding is unnecessary making it ideal for open topped sports cars. The seat is supplied with a suede covered headrest pad.

The B1 can be floor mounted to runners or side mounted using the optional brackets which allow the seat to tip and mount directly to the floor or runner system. Suede covering pads are available at extra cost.

B2

The Tillett B2 Ultra Lightweight Race Car Seat. Ideal for sports, racing or kit cars.

The beautiful lightweight B2 seat weighs only 2.75 kg and is made from glossy carbon fibre. The seat is designed with a low seating angle which is suited to race or track day vehicles. Due to the back shape the driver is curled into a small space allowing this seat to be fitted into many vehicles that could not take a regular performance car seat. The shape of the B2 does not require padding making it ideal for open topped cars.

The seat is supplied with a covered headrest pad and can also be supplied with matching faux suede back, cushion and headrest panels at extra cost. The B2 can be mounted using the optional side mounting brackets which allow the seat to tip and mount directly to the floor or runner system.

B3.5

Thin ultra lightweight car seat shell
.. to fit in the narrowest of vehicles.

By using this light flexible shell it is possible to use the B3 shape in vehicles where the vast majority of sports/race seats would simply not fit.

Due to it's very thin and light construction (1.6kg) this seat needs to be used in a vehicle where the seat can be supported high up on the sides and at the headrest. This can be from the vehicle itself if it has a roll bar and bulkhead or from a metal support frame.

B4

The new B4 replaces the popular B3 seat with a number of updates.

The new Carbon/composite B4 seat weighs from only 4 kg and has been made to allow fitment into most of the narrowest vehicles around. Although light it is still rigid due to it's twin skin construction and it holds the driver in a comfortable inclined racing position.

Padding is unnecessary making it ideal for open topped sports cars. The side mounted B4 can be ordered with optional aluminum brackets for mounting to runners or directly to the floor.

Order a 40 or 42 cm front. A 40 cm front will fit a Caterham, Westfield and most other similar kit cars. Soft padded faux suede panels are available at extra cost.

W1

The W1 Tillett car seat is supplied as you would buy a kart shell and must have brackets made in order to fit it to various vehicles. It will fit in the majority of kit cars as it is extremely narrow yet it can still accommodate a majority of drivers. (A wider W2 version is also available, see below.)

The W1 can be ordered in a carbon/GRP version as well as in black GRP. It can also be ordered with or without covering.

The W1 is now available with a floor mountable back frame. With the new back frame it is

possible to mount the seat directly to the floor

or the Tillett seat adjustment runners.

The W1 uncovered shell is the seat most commonly used for Formula student projects.

A half covered example is ideal for open top cars. Seat belt harness holes are a no cost option and if specified at the time of ordering, the rolled edges can be cut off at the front making the maximum width 40 cm.

W2

A wider hand made version of the W1, the W2 is now available with a floor mountable back frame. With the new back frame it is

possible to mount the seat directly to the floor

or the Tillett seat adjustment runners.

Covered and lightweight carbon Kevlar ® versions

are available. A half covered example is ideal for open top cars. Seat belt harness holes are a no cost option.

W3

This is an inclined laydown version of the W1 suitable for formula racing vehicles.

Tillett side mount seat brackets

5 mm thick aluminium mounting brackets to suit car seat range B1, B2 & B4. These allow the seats to be tipped, raised and lowered.

Adjustable runners

For car seats B1, B2, B4 or W1/W2 with backframe. These fit directly on to the Tillett aluminium brackets (not included) as shown. With the W1 and W2 seats that have the

integral backframe, the runners are mounted directly underneath.
